Your factory warranty (24 months on a new motorcycle) will cover most break downs as long as abuse or neglect is not apparent. It is designed to repair things that are damaged due to a manufactures defect. For example: If your motorcycle develops a leak, you have record of proper preventative maintenance being performed, and it is found that a defective seal was installed during the manufacture process, this would be covered at no cost to you (parts or labor). An example of a non-covered situation is as follows: If you are riding, run over a hazard in the road, and develop a flat, this is not something that your factory warranty would deem as a manufactures defect and would not be covered.
